Production and Delivery
Before Project 3, I had experience creating school assignments, but I did not always think about how information should be presented to a specific audience. This project helped me understand that production and delivery are important because the way information is presented can affect how well the audience understands it. For my project, I planned to present my proposal to local CYFD leadership or a foster care agency director. Because of this audience, I wanted my proposal to be professional, organized, and focused on a realistic solution. I also wanted to use visuals to make the information easier to understand. One challenge was deciding how to present a serious issue without making the proposal too complicated or emotional. I adjusted my strategy by focusing on the main problem, the emergency placement solution, and the steps needed to create the program. Two pieces of evidence from my project are my plan to create a chart comparing children needing placements with available foster homes and my plan to include the estimated costs and benefits of the program. In the future, I would continue using visuals when they help explain information. I would also practice presenting my information beforehand so I can explain my ideas clearly and confidently.
